Deciphering Dreams for Life Transformation

Client's Dream:

"I think the earliest part consisted of seeing myself outdoors in a wintry landscape in a nearby city, possibly Troy.  After coming to a twisty part of the road that then turned into a sharp hill I decided I would park my car illegally or at least not correctly on the side of the road because it would be safer to leave my car and walk down the road.  Now it was not a highway but it was the kind of road that was not usually pedestrian friendly but I did not care as long as I avoided a car accident.  I went on my way to this building; I think someone's house or like a gathering place of some kind.

I do not know it in reality but it was familiar in my dream.  I went to a room that I was trying to keep covered from my brother and other "guests" of this party that was suddenly going to occur.  I think it was a birthday party or some kind of happy celebration but there was still a wintry feel to it.  Inside the room was a collection of cakes which were very fancy and had different story characters but I don't recall them, only that I was happily thinking how much of a surprise these cakes would be when the party was underway.  I was pulling a door shut and telling my younger brother to stay out so he would not ruin the surprise; I think some of the cakes were for him.

I walked by various family, vague recall here, and I knew they were also preparing for the party.  Then both my parents were there and my father started to yell at my mother because he had taken the day off of work at her request to do something trivial and in the commotion that was beginning, I noticed Jim, who was there as well, was getting uncomfortable.  We stood up and started to go for a walk to avoid the yelling.  Then he was in a different area and suddenly I was in what was kind of like a nursing station.  I did not feel it but I knew I had just had some kind of testing done for heart symptoms or some kind of symptoms at that point (this is the night after we took Jim's mother to the ER in real life).  I was waiting for the results and talking to the nurse.

At one point she walked me down to another room to look for Jim to share the results with both of us at the same time.  As we walked she asked how I liked sex with Jim.  I thought it was a very unusual question but I immediately yelled "I love it!  It's awesome!”  Then we went into the room and I panicked because I did not understand why she asked me that.  I thought maybe whatever was wrong with me would keep us from having sex and I started to elevate my tone of voice and cry and beg her to tell me what was wrong.  She would not right away because two small boys were sitting on chairs in the room and I do not know them in real life but I kept blubbering and then said something to the effect of "And this is why I don't want to have any kids!  I hate them because they never know when to leave the room when they're supposed to!" and then I calmed down.

Jim and I were alone then and he handed me an official looking packet of paperwork which I somehow knew was related to a legal case or was prepared by a lawyer.  In my dream he said "I read this a few times but you are smart so look it over and just make sure I did the right thing.”  Each section had a statement and he could check a little box under each if he was ok with the way it was worded.  It was a big packet and I suddenly felt tired and was afraid I would miss something.  He really seemed to need me to look at it then so I started reading.  The first section I saw looked just like this:

According to A___ Kaufman on (some date I forget) "Mr. H_ (Jim) is an independent man and has never once asked for help with anything.  He does not consult the Tarot or any means of divination and he has never (something I vaguely remember re-iterating the point that Jim is not involved in the Occult or advice seeking).  It was a statement that in the dream I knew I made as a side comment not directly related to the legal issue at hand but I was angry that the lawyer spent so much time breaking it down.  His rebuttal followed like this:

"I know this to be a false statement because in spite of her claims Mr. H_ has been known to pray to saints on various occasions (some dates were mentioned, and then a list of times Jim asked for help with something were also mentioned as well as insinuations that he could provide witness statements).  I was mad that the lawyer had taken my words so out of context and gotten caught up in such a stupid comment to begin with.  I pointed this out to Jim but he was not too worried about it because it was so insignificant to the rest of the packet.  I took out my blue pen anyway and wrote across the top "What the f--k do you expect from me at three o'clock in the morning!  This isn’t what I meant" etc. justifying that statement.  Then I really felt tired so I put that aside.  Then I became aware of someone talking about the legal issue- I think it was actually related to Jim's divorce, being close to resolution but then mentioning that his niece (who is actually an adult) would need to have split visitation with both parents and that was related to this paperwork.  Then (yes, there's more)

I do not remember the exact events but I walked down to what I knew to be a library in Troy but the neighborhood was more like Arbor Hill in Albany.  I went in and I was aware it was an early morning on a weekend but there was some kind of art activity or exhibit there that day.  I had to sign in at the front desk and as I did I noticed a former coven member, R__, walked through the door.  I realized this was the location of her usual poetry reading.  I did not know what to say but then in an instant she saw me and got a very scared look on her face."

Dream Overview: This dream is one where it forewarns the dreamer that there are significant and weighty emotional changes and challenges that are to come.  This dream has a number of themes which assert the dreamer’s need to maintain emotional balance in the face of obstacles, and to further refrain from avoidance of upcoming issues at all costs.

Primary Symbols:

Mother/Father:  The mother and father in this dream represent parental relationships or close familial bonds.  These bonds are strained by trivialities and arguments, at least in a symbolic sense.  This strain is stressed in the symbolism seen in the relationship between dreamer and companion as well.  The father and mother represent masculine and feminine energies at odds instead of in balance.

Dreamer/Companion: The dreamer/companion relationship is also out of balance in this dream, although to a lesser degree.  There is indication that hidden forces are affecting the dreamer/companion and setting the stage for opposition of masculine/feminine forces or that the dreamer fears that such oppositions are being established; a situation that is based on sheer trivialities.

City/Community:  This is a symbol of the dreamer’s social life, family and friends; in this dream the dreamer has concerns about what others think of her, whether such concerns are consciously acknowledged or not.  The dream indicates that some opinions change while others do not, and this is again a trivial matter.  The dreamer must move inward, beyond such trivialities, in order to make it successfully through obstacles.  What the general community thinks is not of consequence.

Roads/Paths:  The twisting path, road, and hill are symbols of a journey with several obstacles; these obstacles may have already begun to appear in the dreamer’s life or are about to appear in the near future.

Secondary Symbols:

Nurse: The nurse is a symbol of compassion and caring, but this nurse has important information for the dreamer which is never clearly or truly revealed.  It appears that the dreamer will have to rely on “self-caring” and “self-healing” techniques in order to make it through upcoming events.

Celebrations:  There are upcoming celebrations and joys that the dreamer will be experiencing.  On the same note, there are some negative things to come as well.  The dreamer must go with the flow and work with the issues that arise as all that is upcoming is destined; this is indicative of an emotional rite of passage.

Legalities:  There are upcoming legal issues ahead.  Some legal issues will be based in “triviality,” while other issues are necessary in order for resolution to occur.  The dreamer will be forced to deal with seemingly nonsensical issues in order to reach a resolution.

Cakes go hand-in-hand with celebrations and since these cakes were very fancy the notion is that the cakes come to represent celebrations for excellent deeds of super important events.  The cakes in this dream are intended for sharing with others, so this suggests that the dreamer derives much joy from sharing her abundance and good fortune with others.  The “story characters” suggest a child like joy for sharing, and indicate that an upcoming event will seem very much like a fairytale come true.  This event will again be unexpected and quite surprising for the dreamer and the dreamer’s community.

Upcoming legalities may be part of the pending events the dreamer will face; some form of communication is underway with legal ramifications associated with it.  Upon further reflection, the dreamer will recognize a theme related to “law” and “legalities” here.  At the beginning of the dream, the dreamer illegally parked her vehicle on the side of the road.  Now, legalities are again cropping up in the dreamer’s dreaming mind.  Law is suggestive of “balanced scales” or “imbalanced scales” of justice, depending upon the situation.  Again, a theme of balancing is thus identified.  A situation will arise which will involve taboo or unorthodox behaviors and a balancing of emotions as well as masculine and feminine energies.

Here, the dream shifts, possibly as a result of the choice made by the dreamer.  Now the dreamer and her companion are in a different location, seemingly a nurse station.  This suggests the need for emergency care.  When any indication of a nurse appears in one’s dream, it is suggestive that the dreamer will enter into a situation that requires healing; this dream may forewarn of emotional injuries which cannot be avoided simply because one changes his or her direction.

Full Interpretation:  This dream may be a premonitory dream which is yet to be fulfilled or in the process of being fulfilled.  The dreamer will enter into a situation where she is faced with obstacles, emotionally struggles and issues based on trivialities.  The dreamer cannot avoid the situation no matter what course of action is selected.  There are no easy roads to take through upcoming events; the dreamer can only move through them the best way she knows how and be ready to accept the final result of the events forthcoming.

“I think the earliest part consisted of seeing myself outdoors in a wintry landscape in a nearby city possibly Troy.”

When a city appears in one’s dream, the city itself comes to represent one’s interactions and socializations with others.  A city is a location that is filled with a variety of people of diverse backgrounds; some people interact with others while others rarely come to know one another, if at all.  Since the city is a location of seeming familiarity, the city of Troy, this connotes that the dream is referencing a tight circle of people that the dreamer is familiar with, either friends or family.  Since the city of Troy is a considerably large city, the dreamer must view herself within a large community: a lone individual among a vast crowd.  Within that crowd of sea of faces, some people are friends, some possibly foes, and some have no interactions with the dreamer at all.  The wintry season is a symbol of the cold, dead season, as well as a symbol of transformation.  While the world “sleeps” there is still the promise of revival in the spring.  Since the city is set within the wintry landscape, the dreamer may experience a “stalling” or “freezing” of matters pertaining to family relationships, socialization, or issues related to communication.  She may even be dealing with emotional issues which relate to unfriendly or indifferent sentiments and emotions in the near future, should the dream prove premonitory.

“After coming to a twisty part of the road that then turned into a sharp hill I decided I would park my car illegally or at least not correctly on the side of the road because it would be safer to leave my car and walk down the road.”

A twisty road and sharp hill are indicative of future paths containing some kind of struggle or obstacles.  The path is not straightforward, and the dreamer is facing some upcoming changes and potential “climbing” in order to progress forward in a given situation.  The fact that the dreamer has a vehicle which she chooses to park on the incorrect side of the road suggests that in order to feel safer in the given situation that the dreamer faces, she has used unconventional methods to approach the obstacle in question.  The dream forewarns that some people from the dreamer’s community might view the dreamer’s approach to a given situation as taboo or even unorthodox.

A vehicle is a symbol of the inner self, of one’s personal “drive,” motivations or ambition.  If the vehicle is moving forward, this indicates that the dreamer’s ambitions will play a role in the upcoming situation.  In this dream, the dreamer is driving along a “twisting road and sharp hill,” which suggests that the dreamer is moving forward with great ambition, despite obstacles.  The dreamer then decides to park the vehicle in an unconventional way in order to make the journey seemingly safer.  The dreamer’s role, in this case shifts from an aggressive role of yang energies to a more passive role of yin energies.  This shift in energies may be the subconscious teaching the dreamer how to safely navigate through harsh, upcoming emotional issues so that the dreamer can make it through events unscathed emotionally.  Since the vehicle is on the wrong side of the road when it is parked, this dream can also be indicating that a solution which seems unconventional or “wrong” at first, is actually the correct or most advantageous approach.

“Now it was not a highway but it was the kind of road that was not usually pedestrian friendly but I did not care as long as I avoided a car accident.”

The road is not “pedestrian friendly,” which suggests that even walking through this road or the journey that this symbolizes will not be easy.  What lies ahead contains great challenges, no matter how safely the dreamer approaches it.  The dream reveals that the main concern of the dreamer is to make it through the situation as safely as possible and it appears that the best course of action for the dreamer is to move through an upcoming situation by taking the emotional safe route.  The dreamer should bear this in mind at all times until the completion of the journey/pending situation.

“I went on my way to this building; I think someone's house or like a gathering place of some kind. I do not know it in reality but it was familiar in my dream.”

The dreamer moves forward and enters a building; this suggests that the dreamer’s path will progress forward, despite obstacles which arise.  When buildings appear in dreams they tend to signify the dreamer, so as the dreamer moves forward, she will eventually turn inward; part of the upcoming journey will involve self-evaluation, self-reflection and a journey inward to connect with one’s spiritual self.  This building represents a “gathering” place of some kind, therefore suggesting to the dreamer that the journey inward is a place where one can gather her thoughts, or that she must move inward to “draw within,” and re-strengthen herself for what lies ahead.  Since the dreamer sensed a party of some kind, this also connotes that there is much joy to be found and tapped into when one journey’s inward.  The familiarity that the dreamer senses is identified in the fact that this dreamer has more than likely ventured inward on many occasions, and that this act is near instinctual or part of the dreamer’s nature.

“I went to a room that I was trying to keep covered from my brother and other "guests" of this party that was suddenly going to occur.  I think it was a birthday party or some kind of happy celebration but there was still a wintry feel to it.”

This secret room in the dream suggests that there are parts of the self that the dreamer is unwilling to share, even with family, at least not immediately.  The actual location of this room within the “house” can clarify for the dreamer more about the room’s meaning.  For example, if the room is a kitchen it might suggest domestic responsibilities or domestic concerns, or if the room is an attic, it might represent stored up emotions, or issues relating to the dreamer’s intellect.  The “sudden” onset of a party atmosphere in the dream connotes that there are joyous occasions to be had, yet unforeseen, and that such joy will even be a bit surprising to the dreamer.  The dreamer believes the party to be a birthday party so this suggests the birthing of new joys, events, and/or ideas.  Since the dreamer describes a “wintry feel” the dreamer may still have lingering concerns that there is “darker times” or “darker emotions yet to be contended with: the dreamer may hold a sense that “the wolf is always at the door.”

“Inside the room was a collection of cakes which were very fancy and had different story characters but I don't recall them, only that I was happily thinking how much of a surprise these cakes would be when the party was underway.”

“I was pulling a door shut and telling my younger brother to stay out so he would not ruin the surprise; I think some of the cakes were for him I walked by various family, vague recall here, and I knew they were also preparing for the party.”

While the dreamer relishes in the unexpected joy, she simultaneously fears that the moment will be ruined.  This has much to do with the wintry feeling that the dreamer reports.  The dreamer fears loss even in the face of good fortune and goes as far as to “pull the door shut,” in order to ward off an interruption in her joy, be it intentional or unintentional.  While the dreamer expresses a willingness to share some joy with her brother, she is not willing to give up the joy and abundance immediately, there remains anxiety or a sense of foreboding that if the dreamer allows intrusive entities into the picture too soon, the joy, and abundance will dissipate or disappear entirely.  Seemingly, the dreamer’s family is more than willing to celebrate with the dreamer, and is even ready to help the dreamer ready herself for the upcoming event.  The notion of family and all that a family represents must be considered here.  While families are loving and supportive, there can also be great emotional strain and struggle in families.  The struggle may be for a position in the family, as it is with siblings, or it may be a struggle between parents and child for a balance between respect and authority.  Families also represent nurturing and growth, as well as a support system.  The symbol of the family warns the dreamer to ready herself for both the good and the bad in an upcoming situation; that there is much in terms of rewards to be had, but that such rewards are always balanced by certain costs.

“Then both my parents were there and my father started to yell at my mother because he had taken the day off of work at her request to do something trivial and in the commotion that was beginning, I noticed Jim, who was there as well, was getting uncomfortable.”

Here, the father opposes the mother, so masculine energies are in opposition of feminine energies instead of being balanced; this is warning the dreamer that a balance of personal energies will need to be re-established.  Since there is an argument, the dreamer will experience discord until the balance is re-established.  As the father yells at the mother for doing something “trivial,” this suggests that the dreamer is at odds with herself; one part of her wants to embrace something which might seem unorthodox to others while another part of her asserts remaining conventional and sticking to tried and true methods.  Since what one person feels is “trivial,” another person can find of great importance, this dream is expressing to the dreamer that an upcoming event will have the dreamer’s objective and subjective sensibilities at odds.  Since both parents are in this dream and arguing, the dream is telling the dreamer that in order to work out the upcoming issue, that the dreamer will need to balance the subjective and objective sensibilities in order to restore a balance of “parental power:” a symbol of overall self control.  Interestingly, the dreamer notes that “Jim” begins to feel uncomfortable with the situation.  This suggests that the dreamer will develop concern for how her decision affects others around her and she will further fear that her decisions will somehow make others uncomfortable or uneasy.

“We stood up and started to go for a walk to avoid the yelling.”

The dreamer and her companion make an effort to avoid the situation.  This may be a natural reaction, but it may not be the right one for the dreamer to take.  To walk away is to choose another path and to leave the issue unresolved.  The dream is suggesting that this upcoming issue cannot be and should not be dealt with avoidance.  To abandon the issue will result in a complete shifting of directions which is illustrated in the upcoming break in dream continuity.

“Then he was in a different area and suddenly I was in what was kind of like a nursing station.”

The dreamer must return to the symbol of the twisting road and the sharp hill for further understanding here; the dreamer entered into a journey which she knew would be difficult and now she must be prepared to face the issues that come.  Avoidance of upcoming issues will not alleviate any emotional upset; they will only serve to redirect the dreamer to a new path which will deliver the same events under different circumstances.

“I did not feel it but I knew I had just had some kind of testing done for heart symptoms or some kind of symptoms at that point (this is the night after we took Jim's mother to the ER in real life.  I was waiting for the results and talking to the nurse.”

A bit of dream incorporation may be happening here since the dreamer attended similar events the evening prior, and the mind may be using such events to clarify a message for the dreamer.  The dreamer is tested for issues related to the heart which clearly states that the dreamer will “face emotional tests of the heart.” These tests of one’s emotions will need to be tended to with great care and compassion, as is indicative of the nurse: a symbol of compassion and caring.”

“At one point she walked me down to another room to look for Jim to share the results with both of us at the same time.

At this moment in the dream, the “nurse” is a messenger about to tell the dreamer and her companion something seemingly unpleasant.  This suggests that the dreamer will not appreciate an event or the emotional upset that is to come.  It is a warning to ready one’s emotions, to brace one’s self, and to be prepared to face an issue head on.

“As we walked she asked how I liked sex with Jim.  I thought it was a very unusual question but I immediately yelled "I love it!  It's awesome!”  Then we went into the room and I panicked because I did not understand why she asked me that.  I thought maybe whatever was wrong with me would keep us from having sex and I started to elevate my tone of voice and cry and beg her to tell me what was wrong.”

The dreamer fears that what is to come will totally disrupt her happiness and will ruin her intimacy with her partner.  Here the dream suggests that the dreamer fears losing the ability to enjoy life’s pleasures.  The dreamer begins to feel anxious, confused, and upset; disturbed by what remains unknown.  This part of the dream also indicates that there are thing in the works that are not yet seen but soon to be revealed to the dreamer that may deliver emotional upset or cause for concern.

“She would not right away because two small boys were sitting on chairs in the room and I do not know them in real life but I kept blubbering and then said something to the effect of "And this is why I don't want to have any kids!  I hate them because they never know when to leave the room when they're supposed to!" and then I calmed down.”

This portion of the dream asserts that there are things that must remain unknown to the dreamer until the appropriate time comes; all things come to the dreamer when they should be revealed.  The dreamer must embrace this concept until all hidden secrets are no longer hidden and accept the fact that in due time, things will run through the proper course of events.  A theme of secrets can be identified here if the dreamer reflects on the dream and recalls the secret or “hidden” room in the first structure that the dreamer entered into.

“Jim and I were alone then and he handed me an official looking packet of paperwork which I somehow knew was related to a legal case or was prepared by a lawyer.”

In my dream he said "I read this a few times but you are smart so look it over and just make sure I did the right thing.”

“Here, the male companion offers documentation to the dreamer and requests that she use her intellect to assess the correctness of action.  This may be necessary in the near future when events arise.”

“Each section had a statement and he could check a little box under each if he was ok with the way it was worded.  It was a big packet and I suddenly felt tired and was afraid I would miss something.  He really seemed to need me to look at it then so I started reading.”

The sheer size and wordiness of the documentation in this dream are indicative of the importance of upcoming events which will weigh heavily on the dreamer either emotionally or psychologically.  Since the document is something that does not clearly convey all sides of a situation and written text cannot offer body language or voice tonality for the individual to derive a full understanding of a situation via senses, the dreamer is forced to interpret what lies ahead by intellect alone.  This assessment will come at a time when the dreamer feels emotionally worn or exhausted, but will have to be done nonetheless.

The first section I saw looked just like this:

“According to A____ Kaufman on (some date I forget) "Mr. His rebuttal followed like this:  I know this to be a false statement because in spite of her claims Mr. H_ has been known to pray to saints on various occasions (some dates were mentioned, and then a list of times Jim asked for help with something were also mentioned as well as insinuations that he could provide witness statements).”

This is an indication that the dreamer worries about differences of belief which exist between her and her companion.  While on the surface these differences mean little, in the dreamer’s subconscious they take on a larger role.  The differences are trivial matters of importance, but they are issues which seemingly threaten the sense of security that the dreamer draws from the relationship.  Here a theme of triviality is identified, if the dreamer reflects on the issue that occurred between her father and mother earlier in the dream.  Interestingly, the role once taken by the parents in the dream are now being revived in the dreamer and her companion.

“I was mad that the lawyer had taken my words so out of context and gotten caught up in such a stupid comment to begin with.  I pointed this out to Jim but he was not too worried about it because it was so insignificant to the rest of the packet.  I took out my blue pen anyway and wrote across the top "What the f--k do you expect from me at three o'clock in the morning!” This isn’t what I meant" etc. justifying that statement.  Then I really felt tired so I put that aside.

The cold or judicial wording of this document upsets and angers the dreamer, just as the small differences between the dreamer and companion do.  These differences should be of no consequence, but it becomes clear that people beyond the relationship make more of the issue than is necessary or called for.  This dream also suggests that what the dreamer speaks will be used against her in uncalled for ways.  These external reactions from others may cause the dreamer to want to react in haste; but the dreamer should be forewarned that to do so, even if justifiable, may not be the best choice.  The dream warns that the dreamer will spend far too much time justifying her own actions as it is 3 am when the dreamer struggles with every aspect of the document; an action that is clearly a significant waste of the dreamer’s time.  It will lead to nothing more than emotionally exhaustion.  .

“Then I became aware of someone talking about the legal issue- I think it was actually related to Jim's divorce, being close to resolution but then mentioning that his niece (who is actually an adult) would need to have split visitation with both parents and that was related to this paperwork.”

The dreamer has internal fears that something will cause divisions to arise, potentially emotional divisions.  A dream of divorce is indicative of life stress, and the dreamer has subconscious fears of stressful emotionally issues with potentially divisive outcomes.  This portion of the dream also indicates that some endings come to term with both positive and negative attributes.  The dreamer should ready herself for a situation that has both positive and negative energies assigned to it.  Here a theme of positivity vs. negativity and balance are again identified.  If the dreamer recalls the party earlier in the dream and the emotions one had about the party, the theme becomes clear.

“Then (yes, there's more) I do not remember the exact events but I walked down to what I knew to be a library in Troy but the neighborhood was more like Arbor Hill in Albany.  I went in and I was aware it was an early morning on a weekend but there was some kind of art activity or exhibit there that day.”

The dream, in a sense has come full circle.  Another break in continuity is identified and the dreamer is left hanging questioning what happens to the documentation and the result of such legalities.  This break in continuity exists because the dreamer has yet to act on the upcoming situation and the dream is merely serving as guidance for the dreamer and setting up the dreamer for what is to come.  Now the dreamer returns to the city which she believes is familiar, but the city has somehow changed.  This means that after all is said and done the situation will appear different and the people and relationships that the dreamer is involved in will also have changed.  Interestingly, the dreamer enters a library, a place of great wisdom, and a location suggestive of intellect.  It suggests that after all is said and done the dreamer will rely heavily on intellect to function and to make it through the course of events and all of the consequences thereof.  A library is a place where the dreamer conducts searches, learns new things, and assimilates new ideas.  The art exhibit signifies creative endeavors, where the dreamer may find relief from life’s more stressing concerns.

“I had to sign in at the front desk and as I did I noticed a former coven member, R__, walked through the door.  I realized this was the location of her usual poetry reading.  I did not know what to say but then in an instant she saw me and got a very scared look on her face.”

The dreamer encounters people from the past seemingly in their common haunts.  This clearly suggests that while many things change, other things remain the same.  This individual from the past seemingly fears the entrance of past influences, but to the dreamer it reveals how far the dreamer has come when reflecting on her own past.  She becomes separated from her past as indicated by the lack of communication and not knowing what to say, and this separation also have negative and positive attributes.  While it is a good thing to move forward, one must always remember from whence one came from.  This part of the dream warns against unnecessary detachment of emotions via pursuits of intellect which becomes equivalent to avoidance.  The theme of avoidance is again identified here; upcoming events cannot be avoided.  The dreamer must turn inward, work through the obstacles, and rely on creative, unorthodox, and untraditional avenues of resolution to make it through what is to come.

Recommendations:  The dreamer must ready herself for significant changes to come.  This can be done by turning inward, and by relying on the creative self as well as the intellect.  The dreamer should be advised to take the safest road possible during life’s journey in all situations.  The dreamer must also be advised however, that no matter how safe she behaves, there are emotional situations and upset that cannot be avoided.  The dreamer enters into a period of emotionally initiation which will teach her much via the experience.

The dreamer should strive for balance; enjoy all joys that are to come to the fullest, and to hold on tight as emotional upsets arise.  Eventually, all will work out in the end, but there will be transformations that arise as a result.  Things will be the same, but different.  The dreamer must acknowledge that avoidance is not the answer to any situation no matter how trivial or upsetting.  Instead of “parking the car” on the side of the road for safety, the dreamer should rely on her ambitious nature to progress forward and to make it through difficulties.  The dreamer should also hold less subconscious concern for what others think as this is something that cannot be controlled no matter how hard the dreamer tries.
